TOM PROVOST (writer/director) wrote the screenplay for Under Suspicion, a film starring Academy Award winners Morgan Freeman and Gene Hackman. He adapted the thriller from the French film, Garde A Vue; the screenplay was nominated for an Edgar Award.

As a director, Tom has worked extensively in theatre, has directed various television commercials -- including spots for both BRAVO and ABC FAMILY television networks - and has also directed many industrials and shorts. He worked many years as an actor, with credits that range from numerous theatrical productions to a variety of roles on television series, including a recurring role on Steven Spielberg's SeaQuest DSV.

Additionally, Tom has worked as a film and television editor for over 10 years, cutting independent films, television shows and hundreds of promos for The WB and BRAVO. Because of his editing talent and experience, Tom has acted as supervising editor on a number of independent film projects. For his editing work he was honored with a prestigious ProMax award.

Tom also works steadily as a script doctor, for both independent and mainstream films. He is a graduate of the Plan II Honors Program at The University of Texas at Austin, where he majored in both Film Production and English.

He is the founder and Manager of Khartoum, a Los Angeles based film-company.
